Hanshi Patrick McCarthy, Seminar 17th and 18th November 2007
NUIG/GMIT Karate Clubs in association with IRKRS Ireland will host Hanshi Patrick McCarthy for a 2 day seminar on the 17th and 18th of November.
This course will take place in the NUIG Sports Centre
The theme this year will be based on McCarthy Sensei’s best-seller book “Bubishi: The Bible of Karate”. The seminar will cover an in-depth study of Gyaku-waza. McCarthy Sensei used the Bubishi's 29 counters/escapes as his template and inspiration for developing the gyaku-waza drill, based upon his HAPV-theory. During the seminar, Sensei will tie in kata-based mnemonics from various styles, as he delivers this unique Koryu Uchinadi drill.
Pre booking is essential, no bookings taken on the day.
