Renshi Olaf Krey (5th dan Koryu-Uchinadi) is a seasoned martial arts practitioner and instructor.  He has been training in the martial arts since 1992.  In 2004 he graduated from Hanshi Patrick McCarthy's college level martial arts instruction diploma program as a Koryu-Uchinadi Renshi level instructor and has been running a Koryu-Uchinadi dojo in Germany since that time.

In late 2004, he became Hanshi McCarthy's Shibucho in Germany and he is currently the chief Koryu-Uchinadi instructor in Germany. He has been teaching seminars internationally since 2004 and was awarded his 5th dan in Koryu-Uchinadi in 2008.

Renshi Krey will be instructing the winter camp.

Day 1

Day one will featured the rare, beautiful and greatly coveted "White Crane Kata" Hakutsuru, along with its oyo waza applications and two person drill.

This camp is fully open to all stylists interested in this topic.

The Hakutsuru self-defence applications will teach participants to defend against the following attacks :

· Single hand shove from the front
· Single lapel grab from the front
· Double lapel grab from the front & rear
· Double hand choke from the front & rear
· Single same side wrist grab from the front
· Single cross wrist grab from the front
· Double wrist grab from the front
· Under arm bear hug from the front
· Double hair grab from rear
· Single arm lock behind back from the rear using cross arm

The seminar will cover theory and practice of pressure points, joint locks, strangulations, takedowns, throws, grappling, and groundwork contained in the Hakutsuru kata.

Day 2

Day two will explore the Kumi-bo drills (two person drills using the 6ft staff) from the Yamane ryu Bo-jutsu discipline.

Yamane ryu bojutsu employs swift but powerful circular motion, a distinct pattern of twisting thrusts, vibrant body dynamics and pliable footwork, its pliable manner is consistent with the old-school Chinese based Uchinadi once practiced during Okinawa's old Ryukyu Kingdom.
